Established in 1908, the University of Alberta is a public research university that is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The university offers a range of academic and professional programs leading to undergraduate and graduate-level credentials, along with a strong focus on research. 

The university has 18 faculties which are further divided into schools that teach various courses/subjects. The faculties include the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences, Alberta School of Business, Faculty of Arts, Augustana Campus, Campus Saint-Jean, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Extension, Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Faculty of Native Studies, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, School of Public Health and the Faculty of Science. The university has two affiliated colleges, St. Joseph’s College and St. Stephen’s College. 

Further, the University of Alberta offers a plethora of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as credential and exchange programs. Also, a Professional Development Course is run by the university that helps students to develop a better understanding of the curriculum. It not only sharpens the skills of students but also provides the required knowledgeThe aim of specialized courses is to provide students with expert guidance. 

The University of Alberta, Canada, comprises of five campuses, including North Campus, South Campus, Campus Saint-Jean, Augustana Campus, and Enterprise Square. Located on the banks of the River North Saskatchewan, North Campus is the main campus that is spread across 200 acres of land. This campus comprises of over 150 buildings. It was built by Barton Myers in 1969. All the university campuses provide accommodation with all the necessary facilities required for the convenience of students. 

The Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation takes care of the athletics program of the university and operates a number of intramural, sports club and group fitness programs. The university’s varsity sports programs include basketball, cricket, cross-country, curling, dodgeball, football, golf, hockey, inner tube water polo, rugby, soccer, swimming, track and field, tennis, volleyball, and wallyball, wrestling
